The Woodforest Charitable Foundation prefers to make gifts to the following types of organizations:
- Organizations that deliver services to the communities in Montgomery County, Texas or to the other communities in which Woodforest National Bank serves
- Organizations that support or make an investment in the communities
- 501(c)(3) organizations who will provide a copy of the charity's most recent Form 990
The Foundation prefers not to make gifts to or for the following:
- Other grant-making organizations or private foundations
- The purchase of event tickets, tables, ads or sponsorships
- Political interests of any kind
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Scholarships or loans to individuals
