Intersect Institute, established in 2025 and based in Magnolia, Texas, is a nonprofit organization focused on addressing mental health and wellness within faith‑based communities. Its mission is to equip churches and organizations to respond to the mental health crisis with compassionate care, combining biblical wisdom, professional oversight, and innovative tools to support individuals and communities. The organization works primarily by training and supporting faith leaders and volunteers to provide safe, effective lay counseling with guidance from licensed mental health professionals. Its programs include training courses for lay counselors, online toolkits and resources, and a knowledge hub that provides best‑practice frameworks for supporting mental and spiritual wellness. Intersect Institute also builds partnerships between churches and mental health professionals through its network alliance, helping connect individuals to appropriate care and expand access to support services. In addition to training and resource development, the organization uses technology‑enabled tools and outreach efforts to reduce stigma around mental health, promote community‑based care, and strengthen local support systems. By integrating faith‑based approaches with evidence‑informed practices, Intersect Institute aims to improve mental wellness and help individuals and communities thrive.
