THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- With many of food pantry shelves empty at Interfaith of The Woodlands, the Woodforest Charitable Foundation “stepped up to the plate” and made a huge contribution of $5,000 to replenish the food supply of the organization’s food pantry.

“The Woodforest Charitable Foundation has generously donated to Interfaith of The Woodlands’ food pantry for a number of years,” shared Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Their financial donation was truly needed and we are extremely grateful.”

According to Kim Marling, Vice President of The Woodforest Charitable Foundation, “In this economic environment more and more families are having to make a choice between feeding their family and providing other essential necessities. It is our hope that other organizations will step up and provide assistance because hunger should not be an option. We are pleased to once again contribute to the Interfaith program. Through the Woodforest Charitable Foundation, we are able to give back to this community, thus enriching lives in the community.”

For a $50 donation, Interfaith is able to provide an individual groceries once a month. The funds received from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation will help Interfaith to assist over 100 individuals this month with non-perishable food.
