Cumberland Interfaith Hospitality Network (CIHN), established in 1994, operates in Fayetteville, North Carolina, serving families experiencing or at risk of homelessness throughout Cumberland County. Its mission is to help eliminate homelessness by encouraging self‑sufficiency, advocating for those in need, and educating the community about the causes and solutions to homelessness. As an affiliate of the national Interfaith Hospitality Network (now Family Promise), the organization emphasizes a collaborative, community‑based response that keeps families together while they work toward stable housing. 

Through a network of local congregations, volunteers, and community partners, CIHN provides an emergency shelter program that offers temporary housing—typically 30 to 90 days—where families stay together and receive meals, hospitality, and supportive care. Families participate in intensive case management through programs such as the Transitions Program, receiving guidance in budgeting, employment, and life skills while working toward independence. For families requiring longer assistance, the organization offers transitional housing options of up to 24 months, along with permanent housing support and additional services tailored to individuals with special needs.
