Family Promise of Berks County recently received a $1,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Family Promise of Berks County, a 501(c)(3) affiliate of Family Promise National, began operations in July 2006 in Reading, PA, serving families, youth, and individuals facing housing crises across Berks County. Their mission is to help homeless families and youth achieve sustainable independence through a community‑based response, working in partnership with interfaith congregations, volunteers, and local agencies to provide shelter, meals, rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, mediation, advocacy, and emergency assistance. The core Hospitality Network program provides safe, family-centered lodging for around three families per week, delivering approximately 168 meals and 84 bed nights weekly, while case managers support families toward stability and secure housing.
