Family Promise of Greater Orlando was established in 2000 and operates out of Winter Park, Florida, serving families across Central Florida, including Orange and Seminole Counties. Its mission is to help families facing homelessness achieve sustainable housing and self‑sufficiency through a community‑based response, with a vision of ensuring that every child has a stable place to call home. Through a network of local congregations, volunteers, and community partners, the organization mobilizes support to address family homelessness and strengthen long‑term independence.

The organization offers a comprehensive approach that includes prevention, emergency shelter, housing assistance, and stabilization services. Families in the emergency shelter program stay together in a rotating network of congregational host sites, where they receive meals, case management, and supportive resources while working toward stable housing. Case managers provide individualized support such as budgeting, employment assistance, and housing navigation, helping families build the skills and resources needed for long‑term success.
