Sky High for Kids, founded in 2007 and based in Houston, Texas, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children battling pediatric cancer and other life‑threatening conditions. Its mission is to bring communities together to provide comfort, fund research, and ultimately save lives, with the long‑term vision of ending childhood cancer. The organization works by combining community engagement, fundraising, and direct support programs. A major focus is funding cutting‑edge pediatric cancer research at leading institutions such as Texas Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, including support for innovative treatment initiatives like immunotherapy programs. Through these efforts, Sky High for Kids has contributed tens of millions of dollars toward advancing treatments and improving survival rates for children worldwide. In addition to research funding, Sky High for Kids provides a variety of “comfort programs” designed to support children and families during treatment. These include care packages (Cancer Warrior Packs), hospital meals for families, recreational events such as patient carnivals, outdoor adventure programs, and donated items like blankets and wigs. These initiatives aim to reduce the emotional and financial burden of treatment and allow children to experience moments of normalcy during a difficult time.
