The Arbor School recently received a $100,000 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

The Arbor School, founded in 1992 in Houston, Texas, is a nonprofit institution dedicated to providing specialized education for children with significant developmental delays and disabilities, from birth through age 18. Their mission is to “educate, empower, and build hope” for children and families facing complex challenges, offering a nurturing environment where every child can learn and grow, regardless of their perceived limitations or diagnosis. The Arbor School delivers highly individualized educational programs, maintaining low student-to-teacher ratios ranging from 2:1 to 3:2, and tailors each curriculum to meet the unique needs of every student. This approach has enabled countless children to achieve milestones previously thought unattainable, fostering a sense of accomplishment and joy among students and their families. In 2021, the school expanded its facilities to accommodate students up to age 18, providing a vibrant and engaging space that includes 12 classrooms, an activity room, and specialized playgrounds designed to support the diverse needs of its students.
