Abundant Harvest Kitchen recently received a $7,500.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Abundant Harvest Kitchen is a nonprofit organization based in Spring, Texas, that serves as a vital community hub dedicated to combating food insecurity and fostering community well-being. Founded by St. Isidore Episcopal Church in 2017, the initiative began with a food truck aimed at feeding refugees and assisting in Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. In 2020, the organization expanded by opening an 8,000-square-foot facility at 24803 Oakhurst Drive, which houses a food pantry, café, lounge, and community spaces. The mission of Abundant Harvest Kitchen is to feed the body, nourish the soul, and transform the community. The organization operates a food pantry that provides essential groceries to families in need, distributing over 30,000 pounds of food weekly. Additionally, the Abundant Harvest Bistro, a for-profit bistro located within the facility, contributes 100% of its proceeds to support the nonprofit's outreach programs, including food distribution, veteran services, mental health support, wellness programs, and more. The bistro also offers a unique model where individuals facing financial challenges can volunteer in exchange for meals, ensuring that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
