Atlanta Community Food Bank Receives $850 donation from Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Atlanta, GA – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Atlanta Community Food Bank, which recently received a $850 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Atlanta Community Food Bank serves 29 counties and works with over 600 non-profit community-based partners to distribute 7,500,000 pounds of food annually. Their mission is to fight hunger by engaging, educating and empowering their community. While their core work is food distribution, their efforts extend far beyond that.  Their mission is lived out every day through seven projects that help engage, educate and empower both people in need and those who want to help. From supporting community gardens to assisting people in finding economic security, ACFB covers a wide range of opportunities for people to learn and get involved. Their seven projects are Atlanta Prosperity Campaign, Atlanta’s Table, Community Gardens, Hunger 101, Hunger Walk/Run, Kids In Need and Product Rescue Center.
