Central Illinois Food Bank receives $1,965 donation from Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Springfield, IL – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Central Illinois Foodbank, which recently received a $1,965 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Central Illinois Foodbank serves 21 counties and works with over 150 non-profit community-based partners to distribute 9.5 million pounds of food annually. Their mission is to collect donated food and grocery items from growers, manufacturers, processors, distributors, and retailers for distribution to charitable agencies serving people in need.
Central Illinois Foodbank is also proud to operate the Kids Cafe program with Springfield Urban League. Kids Cafe is a nation-wide program through Feeding America that feeds children a hot, nutritious meal in a safe environment.
