Eastern Illinois Food Bank
Urbana, IL – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Eastern Illinois Food Bank, which recently received a $3,440 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.


Eastern Illinois Food Bank was opened in 1983. Executive Director, Jim Hires and his staff work extremely hard to distribute over 7 million pounds of food annually, feeding over 100k hungry neighbors with the help of 220 partner agencies.


Their mission is, “To alleviate hunger in Eastern Illinois by providing a reliable source of food for the hungry through cooperation with a network of food pantries and agencies.”
Eastern Illinois Food Bank supports numerous feeding programs including High School Pantries, BackPack Programs, Mobile Pantries, Soup Kitchens, and Kids’ Snack Programs.
