Woodforest Charitable Foundation Makes Donation to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Texas

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Texas Receives Donation

Central Texas - Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Texas recently received a $2,500 donation from Woodforest Charitable Foundation and Woodforest National Bank. Big Brother, Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. They have been a leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers, Big Sisters serves children, ages 6 through 16, in communities across the country. The Central Texas agency provided mentoring to 1,662 children, more than 82,000 hours, in 2008. Their mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors.
