Founded over 25 years ago, Bread Partners was established to meet the growing need for food assistance in Washington County, providing vital support in partnership with the Brazos Valley Food Bank and the Emergency Food Assistance Program. Their mission embodies the belief that access to nutritious food is a basic human right, and they deliver on this through regular food distributions, offering fresh produce and non-perishable items, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. Bread Partners operates multiple pantry sessions each week and organizes special events like holiday food bundle distributions, serving hundreds of households in a single day. Through community support, collaboration with local agencies, and dedicated volunteers, they continue to be a cornerstone of nourishment and hope in southeastern Texas.
