Family Promise of Lee County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families experiencing homelessness in Lee County, North Carolina. Established in November 2011, FPLC operates as an affiliate of the national Family Promise network, which was founded in 1988. The organization's mission is to mobilize the community to provide homeless families with shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services, enabling them to reintegrate into the community and achieve stable housing. FPLC's programs include emergency housing, life skills and employment support, and community-based services. These services are designed to help families quickly obtain and sustain stable housing. Notably, FPLC is one of the few organizations in Central North Carolina focused exclusively on serving families, keeping them together during the crisis of homelessness, and providing individualized services to promote long-term stability.
