Family Promise of Moore County recently received a $500.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Family Promise of Moore County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families experiencing homelessness in Moore County, North Carolina. Established in January 2000, FPMC operates as an affiliate of the national Family Promise network, which was founded in 1988. The organization's mission is to provide shelter, food, and opportunities to help families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. Overnight lodging and congregations for volunteers, FPMC expanded its services in 2016 by purchasing a 3,500-square-foot home in Aberdeen, NC. This facility now serves as a 16-bed shelter offering comprehensive support, including case management, financial education, and life skills training. Supported by volunteers from local congregations and organizations, FPMC aims to empower families to regain self-sufficiency and stability. Through its programs, FPMC has successfully assisted numerous families in transitioning to permanent housing, contributing to the well-being and resilience of the Moore County community.
