Family Promise of Monroe County, established in 2007, operates out of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, serving families throughout Monroe and Pike Counties. Its mission is to provide emergency shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services to families experiencing homelessness, helping them achieve stable housing and long‑term independence through a community‑based response. Through a collaborative network of local congregations, volunteers, and professional staff, the organization emphasizes keeping families together while they work toward self‑sufficiency.  The organization offers an emergency shelter program that provides temporary housing, meals, and a safe environment for families with children. Families receive intensive case management and supportive services, including transportation, counseling, employment assistance, and access to basic needs such as food, clothing, and healthcare resources. In addition to shelter, the program focuses on rapid rehousing and long‑term stability through services such as financial literacy, tenancy preparation, and ongoing support designed to help families secure and maintain permanent housing.
