Mid-Ohio Food Bank
Grove City, OH – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Mid-Ohio Food Bank, which recently received a $6,050 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.


Mid-Ohio Food Bank was founded in 1980 by a group of churches that recognized the need to feed their hungry neighbors. For over 30 years the food bank has been serving multiple counties, distributing over 45.7 million pounds of food within the past 5 years.
 

Their mission is, “To end hunger one nourishing meal at a time and co-create a sustainable community where everyone thrives.” Their vision is, “A hunger-free and healthier community.” Mid-Ohio Food Bank Heartland supports numerous feeding programs including Produce Express, Mobile Markets, Second Servings, Community Supplemental Food Program and BackPack programs. BackPack programs provide a rotating menu of simple to prepare, nutritious foods for children and their families living in low income neighborhoods.
