Founded in 1979, YES to YOUTH, also known as Montgomery County Youth Services, has been a critical lifeline for at-risk youth in Montgomery County, Texas. Its mission is to strengthen the emotional and mental health of youth and families through crisis intervention, counseling, and suicide prevention services, providing a safe and nurturing environment for abused, homeless, sex-trafficked, or otherwise vulnerable young people to heal and grow. The organization offers a full continuum of no-cost services, including individual, group, and family counseling; a 24-hour crisis hotline; school-based prevention programs; and the BridgeWay Emergency Youth Shelter, which serves children ages 10–17 under CPS care for up to 90 days while longer-term placement is arranged. Over its more than 45-year history, YES to YOUTH has expanded and adapted to meet growing needs, recently advancing shelter capacity and enhancing mental health supports to ensure that children and families in crisis receive compassionate and comprehensive care as they journey toward hope and stability.
