River Bend FoodBank
Springfield, IL – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as River Bend FoodBank, which recently received a $3,440 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.
River Bend FoodBank serves 22 counties and works with over 300 non-profit community-based partners to distribute 5.5 million pounds of food annually. Their mission is to collect, store and judiciously redistribute surplus food to charitable feeding programs.
River Bend FoodBank is also proud to operate the Backpack Program, and strives to ensure that children don’t go hungry on the weekends or during the holidays. Member Agencies include food pantries, kids café, residential treatment centers, homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, daycare and after school programs and more.
