The Southeast Texas Food Bank was established in 1991 in Beaumont, Texas, to address the growing issue of hunger and inadequate nutrition in the region. As a member of the Feeding America network, it partners with over 130 nonprofit agencies and schools across eight counties to distribute food and essential resources to individuals and families in need. Their mission is to eliminate hunger and inadequate nutrition in Southeast Texas, striving to create a community where everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food. Through various programs, including emergency food assistance, nutrition education, and disaster relief efforts, the Southeast Texas Food Bank plays a pivotal role in combating food insecurity and supporting the well-being of the community.
