Terre Haute, IN – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank, which recently received a $1,630 donation from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

 

Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank has been serving their community since 1980, their mission is, “to feed hungry individuals in Clay, Greene, Knox, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties through a network of emergency food distribution member agencies and engage their community in the fight to end hunger.” Some of the programs they support are; The Emergency Food Assistance Program, Tailgate Program, Summer Food Service Program, Backpack Program, and Kids Café.


The Backpack Program provides hungry children with healthy foods that are sent home on the weekends and holidays when school meals are unavailable. Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank is aware of the rising number of children who are suffering from lack of nutrition, and they continue to work diligently to assure no child goes without food.
