The Food Bank of Central Louisiana recently received a $215.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in September 1989, the organization started distributing modest food amounts to local pantries before scaling rapidly across the region. Its mission is to alleviate hunger in Central Louisiana, leveraging collaboration to eliminate waste and channel essential food and resources to neighbors facing food insecurity. Serving 11 parishes, the Food Bank supports more than 50 member agencies that operate pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and meal sites to serve over 22,400 people each month.
