Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank recently received a $4,385.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank was established in 1984 to address hunger across northwest Ohio with a centralized system for collecting, storing, and distributing surplus food from retailers and the food industry. Its mission is to feed, educate, and empower communities to end hunger in Northwestern Ohio, working through a network of partner agencies, including food pantries, shelters, mobile programs, senior centers, and group homes, to extend access to nutritious food and wellness. Over time, the organization has expanded significantly: today, it serves more than 200 agencies across eight counties (Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood) and operates a large Hunger Center in Toledo featuring a choice pantry, teaching kitchen, and program spaces.
