Avenida Guadalupe Association recently received a $6,640.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

The Avenida Guadalupe Association, incorporated in 1979, is a San Antonio-based nonprofit and Community Development Corporation created to revitalize the historic Mexican‑American Avenida Guadalupe commercial corridor on the city’s West Side. Its mission is to economically transform the lives of neighborhood residents and businesses by leveraging strategies that empower community members, develop local commerce, and honor Mexican‑American culture within the greater West Side. Over four decades, Avenida has led transformative projects including commercial corridor renewal, the creation of affordable senior housing, housing counseling, homebuyer education, and cultural events such as the annual 16 de Septiembre parade and programs at Teatro Guadalupe. Through public/private partnerships, including collaboration with the City of San Antonio, Frost Bank, and H‑E‑B, the organization continues to drive economic growth and preserve the neighborhood’s heritage and vitality.
