Boys and Girls Country recently received a $125,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Established in 1971, Boys and Girls Country provides Christian-style residential care for children from families in crisis, offering a stable, loving home environment through cottage-based Teaching Parents. Its mission is to change the lives of children from families in crisis by loving and nurturing them in a Christian home environment, helping them grow into self-sustaining and contributing adults. The program emphasizes education, healthy relationships, emotional healing, and goal setting, from trauma-informed counseling to an Education Lab providing tutoring and academic remediation. For youth who age out of the residential program, Boys and Girls Country’s College & Career Program offers continued support for independent living, whether in higher education, vocational training, or employment.
