Candlelighters recently received a $2,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded by families of children diagnosed with cancer, Candlelighters was created to be “a light in the darkness” for families navigating this journey. Guided by the mission to provide emotional, educational, and practical support to families of children with cancer, Candlelighters offers compassionate services that meet families at each stage, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. The organization’s offerings include personalized support through Parent Consultants who help families understand medical information, manage insurance challenges, and access resources, plus assistance with everyday expenses like parking or meals during hospital treatments. Candlelighters also organizes meaningful programs such as their Adopt-A-Family holiday initiative, respite and connection through Camp CLIFF (Children Loved in Families Forever), and peer support for families who face the most difficult realities, with all support given free of charge.
