Special Angels of The Woodlands recently received a $20,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Founded in 2003 by Thelma Braddock, Special Angels of The Woodlands was created to provide an enriching, day-activity program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who no longer had school-based support after graduation. As a God-honoring nonprofit, its mission is to enhance the lives of these adults by offering a high-quality Day Activity Center where socialization, skill-building, and community service are key priorities. Clients, referred to affectionately as “Angels”, participate in a variety of organized activities both at the center and off-site, such as crafts, gardening, bowling, volunteering, outings to parks and libraries, and special events, all designed to nurture self-reliance, social competence, and a sense of belonging. This safe, inclusive environment also provides much-needed respite for caregivers, while ensuring no one is turned away due to financial constraints.
