Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Central Carolina Community Foundation, founded in 1984 by a group of five local business leaders with an initial endowment facilitated by United Way of the Midlands, has since become a key philanthropic hub for the region. Its mission is connecting and mobilizing people and resources to strengthen our community, focusing on sustained, mission‑driven giving across the Midlands of South Carolina, serving 11 counties from Richland to Sumter and beyond. CCCF stewards over $250 million in assets through more than 515 charitable funds, directing grants and scholarships to nonprofits tackling issues in arts, education, health, housing, and community development. Their priorities include helping donors make effective charitable contributions, supporting local nonprofits through capacity-building, and fostering collaborative grantmaking initiatives such as MidlandsGives and the One SC Fund to address emerging community needs.
