Family Promise of Pickens County (SC) is an affiliate of the national Family Promise network, whose mission is to meet the immediate needs of homeless families in crisis. Working together with the community and local congregations, we provide shelter, meals, and support for our families to achieve self-sufficiency. The affiliate was founded in 2012 at the direction of the Pickens County United Way to bring local emergency shelter and wraparound services to families who had previously been referred elsewhere. Operating from Easley, SC, with a Day Center and rotating congregational host sites, the organization coordinates lodging, meals, and intensive case management through a network of volunteers and social service partners. Since its founding, Family Promise of Pickens County has expanded its offerings, now including homelessness prevention and stabilization services, to support families across the county on their transition to permanent housing and long-term independence.
