Dobie Hall of Honor recently received a $2,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Founded in 1968 and named in honor of celebrated Texas author and folklorist J. Frank Dobie, the school embodies a rich cultural legacy and appreciation for Southwestern heritage. In response to growing enrollment, a dedicated ninth-grade campus opened in 2018 to aid students' transition into high school, offering a collaborative, purpose-built learning environment tailored for freshmen. Academically, Dobie High School has earned notable achievements; its Academic Decathlon team won national championships in 1992 and 1996, and consistently performs strongly in Speech & Debate tournaments. A wide variety of extracurriculars, including strong athletics, arts, and STEM programs, reflects a well-rounded culture supported by modern facilities.
