Family Promise of Baldwin County recently received a $1,500.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 2007, Family Promise of Baldwin County began serving its first families in January 2008 with the opening of its day center and first shelter placements. Its mission is to provide temporary shelter, transitional housing, related services, and nurturing support to families with children experiencing homelessness, and to assist them in obtaining suitable, permanent housing. The organization operates a rotating shelter program through 14 congregations that host up to four families at a time, providing meals and lodging on a week‑by‑week basis. Families receive case management, access to a day center offering laundry, Wi-Fi, kitchen, and resource support, and connections to community resources for jobs, housing, childcare, education, financial literacy, and more.
