Family Promise of Fulton County was officially founded in 2012 and is part of the national Family Promise network. Its mission is to engage community and faith‑based organizations in helping low‑income families experiencing a housing crisis achieve stable housing as quickly as possible, working to end homelessness “one family at a time” and ensuring no child is without a safe place to rest their head at night. Their holistic model includes three core programs: an Emergency Response program that offers prevention and diversion supports; a Rotational Shelter program, with short-term lodging and intensive case management delivered through a network of about 12 congregations; and a Housing Stabilization aftercare program to support families who have graduated into independent or transitional living with continued mentoring, check‑ins, and emergency assistance as needed Family Promise. Over the past few years, they’ve served thousands of individuals and helped dozens of families graduate into stable housing, while leveraging local volunteers, host congregations, and strategic partnerships to address both immediate needs and long‑term resilience.
