River Bend Foodbank recently received a $3,020.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Founded in February 1982 in response to a rural economic crisis, River Bend Food Bank began its mission by distributing food to partner agencies in the Quad Cities region of eastern Iowa and western Illinois. In its first year alone, it distributed roughly 190,000 pounds of food through around 70 partner organizations. As a certified Feeding America affiliate, its mission is to lead the community-wide effort to end hunger, leveraging partnerships to stabilize lives, educate the public about hunger, advocate for equitable food access, and distribute surplus food through a network of over 400 agency partners across 23 counties. Today, the Food Bank operates three warehouse distribution centers in Davenport, Dubuque, and Galesburg, and distributes over 20 million meals annually, while also running mobile pantries, Kids Cafe programs, and nutrition-focused outreach to equip communities with sustainable food access.
