Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital recently received a $1,500.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region was founded in 2009, with its Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) model launching in 2010 to support families experiencing homelessness in the Harrisburg, PA area. Its mission is to empower families through relationships and skill-building to move from homelessness to home, offering shelter, intensive case management, financial literacy classes, workforce development, and prevention services. FPHCR operates a volunteer-supported IHN Shelter Program, while also delivering Stabilization and Prevention efforts such as Shelter Diversion, stabilization loans, and Bridge Housing programs that aim to stop homelessness before it begins. Additional components, the Road to Success and UP Programs, offer financial coaching, job readiness support, and individualized plans tailored to historic trauma or disconnection obstacles.
