Family Promise of the Great Rivers recently received a $1,000 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Family Promise of Monroe County, now operating as Family Promise of the Poconos, provides emergency shelter, meals, and comprehensive support to at-risk and homeless families with children in Monroe and Pike Counties. Their mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response, guided by the vision that every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. The affiliate is part of the broader national Family Promise network, bringing localized impact through services rooted in collaboration among congregations and community volunteers.
