Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Founded in 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and improving homes for low-income families in Montgomery County. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat MCTX operates under the mission of Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas, brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Since its inception, Habitat MCTX has partnered with families to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing. Through its Homeownership Program, the organization assists families in constructing or rehabilitating homes, offering them a "hand-up" rather than a "hand-out." Additionally, Habitat MCTX operates a Critical Home Repair Program, addressing health and safety issues in existing homes for seniors, veterans, and individuals with special needs. The ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center, supports these initiatives by selling new and gently used items, with proceeds funding Habitat's programs. Habitat MCTX's vision is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live, and its work continues to transform communities by providing families with the opportunity to achieve stability and self-reliance through homeownership.
