Family Promise of Wayne County recently received a $500.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 2018, Family Promise of Wayne County began serving local families experiencing homelessness by offering emergency shelter, meals, and support services in partnership with an interfaith network of congregations and community volunteers. Their mission is to transform the lives of families experiencing homelessness because every child deserves a home, which they bring to life through a holistic model combining shelter, intensive case management, housing navigation, and stability supports. Since launch, they have served hundreds of families, maintaining a program stay of around 52 days on average, with 95% of families successfully graduating into stable housing, all made possible by the dedication of over 350 local volunteers.
