Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County recently received a $30,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 1989 by 12 local churches as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, this nonprofit Christian organization is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through community partnership and support. With a mission rooted in the belief that every family deserves a basic, decent home in which to live in dignity and safety, it works alongside partner families to build affordable homes and foster responsible, successful homeownership. Since its inception, the affiliate has built over 230 homes, offering shelter to more than 900 individuals, and expanded its impact with home repair projects and its ReStore, a home improvement resale shop, to support sustainability and community development.
