Feeding the Gulf Coast recently received a $4,190.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Feeding the Gulf Coast was founded in 1981 in Mobile and became a certified Feeding America affiliate by 1988, solidifying its commitment to hunger relief across the Central Gulf Coast. Its mission is to fight hunger through community partnerships and programs by creating access to nutritious food and resources for those facing poverty, crisis, or disaster. Feeding the Gulf Coast now serves 24 counties in southern Alabama, South Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle, partnering with over 800 community agencies, church pantries, soup kitchens, schools, and shelters to distribute more than 30 million meals annually. In addition to emergency and partner food distribution, its programs include summer and afterschool meals, BackPack weekend meals for children, mobile pantry produce drops, SNAP enrollment assistance, disaster response services, and cooking and nutrition education, helping more than 35,000 children receive meals yearly.
