Food Bank of the Golden Crescent recently received a $3,000.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, founded in 1986 as the Community Food Bank of Victoria, serves 11 counties across South Texas with the mission of “Helping heal the hurt of hunger.” Through a network of more than 100 partner agencies, including food pantries, shelters, and kitchens, the Food Bank provides essential programs such as Kids’ Weekend Meals, Mobile Pantries, Senior Food Boxes, and SNAP assistance, while also partnering with local farmers to supply fresh produce. Covering nearly 10,000 square miles, it reaches individuals and families in need across rural and urban communities. In 2024 alone, it distributed more than 8.1 million pounds of food, equivalent to 6.7 million meals, demonstrating its vital role in fighting hunger and strengthening communities throughout the Golden Crescent region.
