Food Finders Food Bank recently received a $435.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 1981 by a coalition of community organizations, including churches, labor unions, and civic leaders. Food Finders began by coordinating the rescue and redistribution of surplus food to address rising local hunger. Since then, it has become a vital regional hunger‑relief hub serving 16 counties in north-central Indiana, distributing over 12 million pounds of food each year to more than 89,000 individuals through more than 100 partner agencies such as food pantries, meal programs, and shelters. Connections to life‑stabilizing resources when our neighbors need us most.” Food Finders equips families with nutritious groceries and access to support services. Its programs include Fresh Market choice pantries, Mobile Pantry outreach, BackPack weekend meals for children, Senior Grocery boxes, SNAP enrollment assistance, and resource coordination and education initiatives. By leveraging food rescue, volunteer mobilization, and collaborative partnerships, Food Finders works to eliminate food insecurity and empower communities toward self‑sufficiency.
