Woodforest Charitable Foundation

Found House Interfaith Housing Network was founded on October 26, 1991, when eight congregations opened their doors in Cincinnati as part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network to provide shelter and support to families with nowhere else to turn. Its mission is to provide shelter, housing, and holistic support to families experiencing housing insecurity through interfaith volunteer partnerships, to secure safe, affordable, permanent housing. Found House’s emergency shelter program offers families hospitality, meals, and lodging while professional case managers work to connect them with housing, employment assistance, and resources tailored to their needs. Over its more than 30-year history, Found House has expanded to operate nine programs, including emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, transitional housing, aftercare, and a pet support program, partnering with over 100 congregations and 1,000 volunteers to serve nearly 400 families each year.
