Golden Harvest Food Bank
Aiken, SC – On a continual basis Woodforest National Bank employees perform a multitude of fundraising events benefitting the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are committed to making a positive impact in the communities in which Woodforest serves. This partnership benefits the community and organizations such as Golden Harvest Food Bank, which recently received a $2,525 donation, from the Woodforest Charitable Foundation.


Golden Harvest Food Bank was opened in 1982 by a group of community leaders. For over 30 years, the food bank has worked in numerous counties, with numerous partner agencies to distribute over 14 million pounds of food annually.


Their vision is, “To end hunger in our service area within Georgia and South Carolina.” Golden Harvest Food Bank supports numerous feeding programs including Master’s Table Soup Kitched, Mobile Food Pantry, Senior Food Bank, and BackPack programs. The BackPack programs provide over 2,500 at-risk of hunger with a supply of easy-open, nutritious foods for the weekend.
