Golden Harvest Food Bank recently received a $1,670.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 1982 by community and faith leaders. Golden Harvest Food Bank was born from a shared spiritual commitment to serve those facing food insecurity. Its mission statement, to transform lives by feeding our hungry neighbors today and building a healthy, hunger‑free tomorrow, embodies a vision branded as “Feeding Lives Together,” reflecting a dual emphasis on nourishing both bodies and hearts. Serving a 25‑county area spanning Eastern Georgia and Western South Carolina, the Food Bank partners with more than 275 agencies, including food pantries, mobile markets, and shelters, to distribute over 14 million meals annually via warehouses in Augusta and Aiken. Beyond food distribution, Golden Harvest works to improve community health through nutrition education, SNAP outreach, advocacy, and large-scale events, anchored in faith‑based values and collaborative impact.
