Good Neighbor Cupboard recently received a $835.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

The Good Neighbor Cupboard, founded in June 1982, is the oldest food bank in Anderson, SC, created by local congregations to meet urgent hunger needs in the community. Its mission is to provide emergency food assistance, offering two- to three-day food boxes filled with staples like rice, beans, canned goods, peanut butter, cereal, and more, to families and individuals facing crisis. The Cupboard also distributes weekly nutritious lunch bags, packed with protein-rich and shelf-stable items to support those in need throughout the week. Operating primarily through volunteer efforts and donations, it serves approximately 110 families, distributing over 50,000 pounds of food annually, helping reduce food insecurity within Anderson County.
