Mid-Ohio Foodbank recently received a $6,140.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Founded in 1980 (initially known as Operation Feed Foodbank, later renamed Mid‑Ohio Foodbank in 1986), the organization has grown into the largest hunger‑relief network across central and eastern Ohio, now operating under the name Mid‑Ohio Food. Its mission is to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time while co‑creating communities where everyone thrives. Serving 20 counties through a network of 600+ partner agencies, MOFC distributes more than 83 million pounds of food annually, with around two‑thirds being fresh produce, and feeds approximately 193,000 meals per day. Beyond basic food distribution, the organization also operates urban farms, free community markets, a Farmacy program integrating food with healthcare, a kitchen preparing meals, and support for seniors and families—helping transform hunger into opportunity across the region.
