MACON, GA – Woodforest Charitable Foundation makes a $40.00 donation to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.

Established in 1981, the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank exists to supply food and other commodities to 501(c)(3) agencies helping at risk citizens throughout Middle Georgia.  The Food Bank solicits, transports, sorts, stores, and distributes millions of pounds of food every year to the needy, hungry, and homeless through partner organizations in 24 counties.  Through this service and its in-house programs, the Food Bank is a vital link in the distribution of food, saving agencies millions of dollars in food costs that can be used in other programs for the needy.

“Woodforest is pleased to adopt the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank as a partner organization,” said Kim Marling, Executive Director & Vice President of Woodforest Charitable Foundation.  “As Woodforest’s presence grows throughout Georgia, so will our impact within the communities served.  Both Woodforest National Bank and Woodforest Charitable Foundation are dedicated to enriching the lives of people in need.”
