Mountaineer Food Bank recently received a $3,135.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Mountaineer Food Bank, founded in 1981 in Gassaway, West Virginia, is the largest emergency food provider in the state. It serves 48 of West Virginia's 55 counties and distributes over 19 million meals annually through a network of more than 470 partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior programs, and school backpack initiatives. Guided by the mission to feed West Virginia’s hungry and empower communities to end hunger, the organization also offers targeted programs, including its Mobile Food Pantry, Veterans Table, Summer Meals, Extra Mile (home delivery), CSFP senior boxes, and BackPack programs for children.
