Tarrant Area Food Bank recently received a $5,775.00 donation from The Woodforest Charitable Foundation.

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) was founded in 1982 by concerned Fort Worth-area residents aiming to respond to local hunger needs. Their mission is to empower communities to eliminate hunger by providing food, education, and resources through innovation and collaboration. Serving a broad 13-county region across North Central Texas, TAFB has grown into the primary source of donated food for hunger-relief agencies, distributing over 1 million meals every week through a network of more than 200 partner agencies, including food pantries, shelters, schools, and mobile distributions. Beyond food distribution, the Food Bank supports long-term impact through nutrition education, benefit assistance (like SNAP enrollment), and strategic innovations designed to enhance food access and eliminate disparities.
